The gi season has reached the midway point. With Pan and European Championship events concluded, the jiu-jitsu world focuses on the third grand slam event of 2026.  Brasileiro boasts a record-breaking competitor list of nearly 8,000 athletes, signifying the sustained growth of the historic event.  The colosseum-style venue of Ginásio Poliesportivo José Correa hosts one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year, as Brasileiro is set to commence on April 24th, streaming exclusively on FloGrappling.

Known for its extraordinary atmosphere, Brasileiro consistently delivers unparalleled intensity.  The distinct energy has both generated and witnessed historic performances from iconic athletes over the past thirty-two years.  Legendary competitors such as Leandro Lo, Marcelo Garcia, Bianca Andrade, Saulo Ribeiro, and Rafael Lovato Jr. have delivered memorable runs to Brasileiro gold, setting the stage for current stars to etch their names in the record books.  The 2026 edition of Brasileiros will feature elite athletes aiming to extend their dominant campaigns, including Tainan Dalpra, Diego Pato, Sarah Galvao, Gabi Pessanha, Erich Munis and many more.

Apart from adult black belts headlining the event, a profound collection of the sport’s top prospects are poised to capture their share of the global jiu-jitsu spotlight.  Sensational color belts are preparing to showcase astounding next-generation talent under the bright lights of this grand slam spectacle. Anticipation for Brasileiros is peaking, with competition commencing on Friday, April 24th, and adult black belt action slated for May 2nd and 3rd.

The preschedule for the event can be found here, with full-matches streaming live on FloGrappling.
